Wow i'm kinda shocked, with 518 views i would have thought cattle haulers being as proud as they are of their trucks would have been all over postin some comments |

I would suggest the Peterbilt.. Im just partial to em...The KW is a heavier truck...But i dont know what kind of KW your looking at......But the KW has a bigger sleeper..YOu can get a flat top KW and still be able to stand up....I will tell you this my next truck will probaly be a KW900L.... | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

Peterbilt all the way. I have 75 trucks of my own,and are all pete's. I don't care for the newer style Pete's. From about 2003 and forward. All my truck's have the old school look,and feel. They all have a manual tran's. None of this sissy automatic,or autoshift garbage. Real driver's drive my truck's.I also have several two stick tranny truck's. Kenworth truck's are just as good,and made by the same company as Peterbilt. So what it boils down to is individual taste,and a driver's preference. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

yeah i'm not sure which one i would want. I love the look of the kenworths and yeah that is a great looking truck, but i also like the peterbilts. those are the 2 main trucks that you think when you think bull haulin. Just a good looking tough truck that gets the job done | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

yeah i agree, gotta keep it manual, never have been a fan of the automatics. I think that takes away from trucking and haven't liked the one that i drove for a short distance. Hello, just wondering if you got yourself a truck yet?? I have a little insight that might help..... 1. A Peterbilt is generally lighter than a Kenworth. When hauling livestock usually get paid by the hundredweight, so the lighter the truck the more you can haul and the more you get paid. 2. I have owned both and for hauling livestock you may need to get into some tight spaces. The Peterbilts can pretty much turn a circle inside the Kenworths and thus manuvering is better in a Pete! 3. Kenworths have a 8 bag air suspession that doesn't flex as much as the Pete's, so if you get into a ranchers pasture or something the Kenworth may need a push over a little hump! Also when looking for a Pete make sure it has the "air leaf" suspenssion. The flex air is a good for over the road, but not a livestock truck. I hope this helps if you haven't already got a truck. I been talking up Pete's over a KW but that is just my experience with both trucks. Kw's have a little more modern look and the inside of the cabs are maybe a little nicer than a Pete, but if it doesn't get the job done who cares how nice it looks. |
