Howdy, I have always wanted to get into trucking especially haulin cattle. Im looking into getting my cdl, but have already got some hay hauling experience. First off I was wondering if there were any companies hiring that provide trucks and don't require experience and would be willing to teach me how to do the cattle hauling thing in Kansas, north central Kansas to be specific. When it comes to Bull hauling. There are not any companies out there that hire with no experience. because of the nature of what is being hauled. Most companies will not hire inexperienced driver's. The best advice I can give to you is if you have a friend,or family member that owns trucks,trailers,and hauls livestock. Hook up with them to gain some experience. Hauling livestock is a different ball game than any other freight you haul. Not only is it live, but these trailers are top heavy. So driving style is different. Thanks I appreciate the advice. I've been wanting to do this since i was young. I thought i was on the right track for a while, my ex girlfriend's dad had feedlots and thats where i got some hay hauling experience but i moved on to better things so that shot that plan down. Also getting ready to go to nursing school for 2 years and will have no life for those two years but figured I would check around for future reference and get experience when and where I can.
