My uncle has me doing research looking up slaughterhouse and processing plants to sell Fat Cows to. We are in Kentucky and haul cattle back and forth across the country to sell. I would like some advice on places to get the best price per pound. I was told there are places in the midwest paying up to $1.80 per pound. Any ideas or suggestions? Hello Shane, Im a packer buyer,, There are several packing companies around you...You have Dakota Premium in South Saint Paul,Mn also Taylor Cargill Beef in Wyalusing Pa...JBS Packerland in Plainwell Michigan...FPL in Augusta GA....Cincinati Beef....Brown Packing NC... Thats a few to start of with...Take some advice get the cows gone asap...With this knew PINK SLIME...fat cows are gonna take the hit....Make sure when you sell the cows you get a straight figure...And not one on the grade...Example Cutters bring 1.76 Boners 1.74 Heavy Boners 1.70.. And Fat Cows 1.65..Be careful make sure you get it in writting....Any questions feel free to call me...Butch |
