Hey you gotta admit, if Patti can get it done she and Kris should do it. But don't worry about all those cut rate guys going out of business, there's a new one waiting to jump in and buy the broke guys trailer to make a mint hauling cows. It's the American way. So all you freight haulers, flatbedders and reefer jock hop on and get rich hauling cows. Hell the cattle industry appreciates the donations you make before you leave. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

Back Haul Rate (ASAP) - by defintion, its a cheap transport rate offered to a customer using a service which otherwise be unused! Good Luck with this. Is this the cause of deregulation vs regulated frieght? in opinion neither. The trucking industry is complex, not appreciated by or understood by society-at-large and is filled with people that will do anything for a dollar! This hurts the industry as a hole by driving down rates and compromising safety in an effort to stay ahead of the other guy. Before deregulation - it's funny that prior to it the trucking industry had extremly large numbers of independent drivers. Should we blame Obama, yes for continuing what somelese started! After deregulation - its become a dog-eat-dog feeding upon itself, and in the end there will be just a select view, who will profit from eveyone else's misery. Hate to say this but it is the way i fill we become an un-American enviroment swallowed up by NAFTA and cheap immigrant labor. i don't pretend to have any solid answer but, until American Truckers, uniteas one, looks to me like we might be on the endangered species list, lol! Maybe we need a "collective Bargining Forum", such as the NFL, on second thought, Na! For what its worth. Maybe this spark conversation that will help all of come together to get this industry turned around for the better, as always, time will tell. |

Well, personally I didn't know that there was such a thing as a back-haul if you are hauling cattle-you bump the chute, load your cows, and git to it-what does it matter if your goin east OR west? It cost the same fuel, same wear and tear,e.t.c. |

well if its a backhaul that means your goin back home right? well im wondering who classifise it as a back haul other than saying come haul this load for half the price so i can pocket the other half.well if your dumb enouph to load it well then you accept the cheap rates so if we stop hauling these BS loads then they will be forced to rasie the rates cause everybody knows if a cow load sits the buyer is goin to want to know why then he will look for another broker to get him trucks.just something for everybody to think about lets work together to get those bad apples out of the broker game with livestock |
