Anyone know the actual laws on drop visors? We are gettin routinly hassled by tx dot. They say can't be below the top of wiper when makes its sweep which pretty much means need to not have one. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

the rule they are reffering to is in reference to eletrical devices. The tx dot are just making up laws so they can't give you a clean inspection. You can also put 12inch wiper blades instead of 18 inch. There is no reg. on the size of the wiper. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

Well my brother is Sargent with Texas dps an I called an asked him to find out cause they have pulled over all 6 of are trucks trying to give them crap over there visors. He called an told me there really aint any law against visors or tint. The only thing the law says is nothing can obstruct the drivers view. STANLEY IS RIGHT. THERE IS A LAW ON TINT YOU CANT HAVE IT MORE THAN SIX INCHES FROM THE TOP OF YOUR WINDSHEILD DOWN. SO I WOULD FOLLOW THE SAME RULES WITH YOUR VISORS THATS WHAT WE DO AND ALL OUR PETES HAVE 18 INCH VISORS ON THEM. The law on window tint is 70%. Most trucks have factory tinted windows (very light) and are close the the tint %. 35% tint on top of factory comes out to 22% according to the DOT cop in Eloy AZ. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |
