Not when getting bent over and taken advantage of at 15%-18%-24%. Multiply that by $12,000.00. Lets take the middle of the road at 18%, that's $2,162 for a week's trailer lease, and then multiply that by 4 weeks, that's a grand rip off of $8,640.00 for a month. A single month, almost $10,000.00. How do you live with yourself? You can lease a trailer for around $1,300.00 to $1,500.00/month from Eby and other Manufacturers/dealerships. So, one man busts his ass working, not seeing family, etc... to have someone sitting on their back side stealing $100,000.00/year from the working man. Yes. Pots ain't cheap. And by all means you should make a return for your investment. But really??? And you can't even pay for the washouts, or brakes and tires, and other maintenances. Depending on the lessor of course, but then your tied to that lessor. IE If the lessor has no loads, but the lessee comes up with his own, no no no. He can't haul it because it's not the lessors load. So the lessee loses even more revenue, because he's obligated to either sit and earn nothing or burn fuel bouncing 1,000 miles for a cheap rate, 400 mile load. Don't do anything to help build someone up. Keep thinking of yourself and putting your neighbor down. Love your neighbor as you'd want to be loved. God Bless you. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

You are correct. And taking it off 4.50 or 5.00 dollars a mile. I figure rates are up to cover fuel cost. I have not ever seen a trailer burn fuel before. Trailer rent should be based on 2.00 maybe. Same with dispatch fees taking the cut out of gross. Yes if you ever sit down and figure it up it will amaze you how many miles you run to pay rent. By far to buy your own trailer you can run half the miles and have more money in your pocket and have equity built up in your trailer.

There is a lot of truth right here. There is still a few that have cheap trailer rent an have plenty of hauling both ways pay for washouts tires and any maintenance but the biggest is being paid on time yourself not worth paying rent if you have to hunt your money. It would be very hard to make it paying 18% that hurts the bank and like the other gentleman said a cattle pot drags two miles a gallon if not more some days. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

I can see both side of it if a guy is letting someone run under there authority he is giving them a fuel card not making them wait on the money for the loads he hauls and is supplying a fuel card washout and takes care of all the trailer responsibility then I can see giving up money I don't mind paying a percentage for the right situation. I can see all side of the situation REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE
