15 year OTR driving experience with clean record.. have had a life-long goal of trying to get into cattle hauling, but seems like a dead end here in the southeast finding somewhere that will mentor in the knowledge necessary to do the job. I know places in central, and west TX that will do it, but wondering if anybody knows of anything around the Georgia/Alabama area… even have the ability to buy truck and pot, and starting authority… just doesn’t seem wise to do any of that before finding a way in, as I understand lots of farmers/buyers don’t want an inexperienced driver hauling their lively hood. Thanks In advance for any input. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

Go get a Stepdeck with ramps, I will make you 40k a month and you will get rest at night, not have to wait in lines , not have to run heavy! It ain’t all it’s cracked up to be and my trucks are making more money than guys hooked to a pot.

Stay as far away from this as possible. It is just like farming or ranching. Old money, contacts, etc.. get the best loads and contracts. get you a job that has benefits, retirement and let them deal with the the BS. IT IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS. I PROMISE!!! Watch the youtube video Every wants to be a Bullhauler until it comes time to do Bullhauler Sh;;
