I talked to a guy the other night bouncing to California with 7 axles. He said they had made a exemption for 53' trailers. Had another guy tell me he had gone out there with his 4 axle truck and didn't have any problems. Are they just desperate to get their cattle moved and the DOT is just turning a blind eye for awhile? | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

You can have 7 axles but 80000lbs gross WT is max or back rds is the norm. They don't much care about the 53 ft wagons HWY patrol a couple yrs back said they would sign off on the 53ft but like always there's politics and one cow outfit complained about it because he don't want to buy the big wagons I ain't saying the name of the guy he's centrally located in California. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |
