We have a driver, who's family lost their home due to a fire this weekend. It started in the master bedroom and thank God his wife woke up in time to get herself and the children out safely. They lost everything, nothing was salvageable. They have found a place to rent, but it is not furnished and their needs are tremendous. They have three small children, ages 2, 4 and 5. They have little clothing, no beds, no kitchen ware, no furniture, toys or basic personal items. The list is endless. Today, while I was there, I contacted their bank and asked if they would open a savings account in Denver and Melissa's name. Those who want to help one of our own can send contributions of any amount to Denver and Melissa Banister c/o First National Bank P.O. Box 290 Gordon, NE 69343. The bank was more than happy to open this account. Now we need your help. Denver and Melissa are good and caring people. Let us show our support as bull haulers and rally around those who need it! Brian, we are saddened to here this bad news. You tell Denver we will be sending aid of some sorts for him and his family. I will talk it over with Kim and get with you and see what they need most, He is a top hand and deserves any help anyone can give. We will be praying for them. Brian, you might want to post they're new address, so anyone that wants too, can UPS Blankets, Clothes, Food, Toys. Etc........ |

Thanks Terry, great advice. Melissa gave me her grandma's address for the time being to send care packages to. It is, Denver and Melissa Banister, 102 S Main, Merriman NE. 69128. They wanted me to make sure to thank all those that are trying to help! And I also would like to take time to personally thank, Terry, Shawn, Frank, Tim, Jason and Andy. Thanks for yours and Tim's help Barb. The best thing anyone could send right now is cash. Just for the simple reason of not doubling up on items, and it let's them purchase to their taste! Even if it is as small as $5 or $10 dollars, every little bit helps. If you are still wishing to send a care package, I am in no way discouraging that. So I will be talking to them again today sometime and will try and get a list of stuff that is immediately needed. Again, Thanks for every ones help! Hey Brian this is mike at young gun cattle co. I talked to Denver and got there sizes and ages. I have talked to my fire department that i volunteer on and we are going to be doing a benefit for them and all proceeds will go in to there account. I did tell Denver to call me at any time night or day if he needed anything as a man i know how much pride we have and we dont ask for the help so if he needs something call me and let me know and we will help as much as we can. |

I am an old flatbedder who hit some hardtimes and ended up back in the military for a short time and hoping to get into livestock hauling soon. My wife and I will be sending a check as soon as I can.
