Anyone know what or where we are as livestock haulers with the ELD mandate/extension? Are we waiting for the 90 days extension to come up? REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

United States Cattlemen's Association View this email in your browser FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 13, 2018 CONTACT: Lia Biondo at (202) 870-1552 FMCSA Issues Additional 90-day Waiver of ELD Mandate for Ag (WASHINGTON) - Yesterday, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued an additional 90-day waiver of the ELD Mandate for all transporters of agricultural commodities. The initial 90-day waiver that FMCSA issued in November 2017 was set to expire on March 18th. Director of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance, Joe DeLorenzo, and FMCSA Deputy Administrator, Cathy Gautreaux, also announced that further guidance related to the "personal conveyance" provision and the 150-air miles exemption will be released soon. USCA Executive Vice President Kelly Fogarty issued the following statement: “The 90-day waiver issued by FMCSA for all haulers of agricultural commodities was set to expire by the end of this week, on Sunday, March 18th. Though we’re pleased with the additional 90-day waiver, this does not alleviate the underlying Hours-of-Services concerns that the livestock industry has brought forth to FMCSA. We look forward to working with FMCSA, Congress, and other stakeholders groups in the days ahead to continue pushing for a viable solution to the restrictive Hours of Service rules.” Facebook @uscattlemen uscattlemen.org Copyright © 2017, All rights reserved.
