Im willing to pay for service but not for a round trip.$4 a mile in this economy with diesel at $1.60 a gallon!!! Im sure ur a hell of a cow hauler but u need to work on ur numbers. |

I understand what ur sayin..kinda..but if u want someone who is c omitted to u on a weekly basis u have to pay for his way back...the are not a bunch of loads in PA comin back to tx....and if fuel was 4.00 dollars a gallon..u need to think about how much u would have to pay in freight....4 dollars a mile is real fair...when can I start....these 1.00 a mil cow haulers will not take care of ur sheep..and the other guy posted 5 bucks loaded...he is also someone that knows his numbers.....and lot of these so called cattle haulers haul cows....they wouldn't have the first idea how to put 4 rows of decks in a trailer.... | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

Typical response...."fuel is down". The last time fuel was this low was when? 2004? 2005? A new truck now is around $60k more than it was then. Trailers are in the $100k range now. Tires are up. Insurance rates are up. Labor rates are up. So "fuel is down" isn't a worthy argument in my book. |
