I know there is no explanation as to why EOBRs are a bad idea. Especially in our industry. I'm begging all of you to take 5 minutes or less to create an account and sign this petition. Even if you believe it is a long shot we have got to do something! Not just sit and complain about it. This is a chance to do something very simple to know you at least stood up and acted. Thanks for your time

The entire livestock industry should be aware of the negative economic impact this will create. Brent Roberson

Lets make some more noise!! The government should not have so much control over us telling us how we have to run every area of our business

http://www.regulations.gov/#!submitComment;D=FMCSA-2010-0167-0485

this is the link to leave a comment about the ELD mandate for the FMCSA. If you are unable to copy and paste this go to www.regulations.gov and search ELD mandate and there will be a place for comment there. If you feel strongly about this PLEASE take the time to leave a comment, even if its one sentance I am posting my comment to show I have TAKEN A STAND! However lets remember we will catch more flies with honey then manure, and it may not be best to point out that on occasion we have gone over HOS due to the nature of our cargo. Thank you

I am against the ELD mandate! with such a low percentage forecast on actual reduced fatigue crashes there is no reason to make the entire industry wear an ankle bracelet. "reduce time it takes to fill out paper logs" it takes maybe five - ten minutes to do this. I surely do not need the government trying to help streamline my business. every time a regulation is made its largely rhetoric in the form of only saying what is most effective to pass it. these rules and regulations our being passed in large by people who have no real world experience in the industry. Because you can sit behind a desk and read numbers handed to you, you should not have the right to make such large decisions effecting my business. You can not pass a rule or a regulation without it taking a toll on someone. this would be a big burden to truck owners. it would be enough of a burden and invasion of privacy to drive many people out of the industry. Plus do not forget about the cost this will add to goods shipped. as truck owners we have already been forced into purchasing new model trucks than can prove to be highly unreliable do to new technology. How ever foremost this new technology raised the cost of trucks significantly. We as the industry can not just keep absorbing cost while profits go down, we are in business to make money. This "progressive" movement is more of a power grab then a safety or money issue. Government needs to get off the back of the American People who are trying to work to make this country great. "government of the people, by the people, for the people" not against us! Men and Women have fought, and died for our freedom, trying to create and protect the land of the free. Please do not chisel away at my rights! Thank you

Thank you for taking a stand its nice to see someone paying attention to what's going on and not just shrugging it off. I signed the petiotion a week ago. I hope we can get everyone pointed in the right direction, if this gets passed it will affect this side of the industries in ways no one has seen. If we allow this small freedom to be let go, it will never be gotten back! REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

Have you been following what's going on in Mesquite NV? Rather you support the rancher or not is one thing, but now the BLM has tased protesters.

Obviously this ELD Mandate is a separate issue, how ever it's time to let your voice be heard! Copy and paste the links I have provided to leave an opposing comment for the FMCSA and sign the petition. The petition is only up to 1647 signatures lets get it up to at least 2000!! Thank you

Well Mat, One can not fix a human problem with an electronic devise. Everyone needs to be calling their Senator's and congressmen. A eobr will cost the livestock industry in the trillions within ten years. I have to ask this question and no I'm not be being a smart a__. Do professional athletes have to be in shape to preform there job? So does a truck driver in the sense ( nothing to do with size and weight ) that they need to be in condition to deal with the hours.
