UPS, ROADWAY, ALL FREIGHT COMPANIES THEY DO IT, WHEN OUR CUSTOMERS BUY LIVESTOCK THEY PAY THAT BILL RIGHT THEN MOST OF THE TIME, AND CANNOT PAY WHAT THEY WANT EITHER. THE AMOUNT OF OVERHEAD TO RUN YOUR BISNUESS WE CANNOT AFFORD TO WAIT ON MONEY,, THE WAY THE ECONOMY IS LETS STOP TAKING THE CHANCE ON OUR MONEY THATS WHY WE ALL NEED TO START DOING PREPAID OR COD IF WE ALL DO IT THE CUSTOMERS WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH IT KEVIN COLLINS LIKE TO TALK ABOUT IT OR QUESTIONS CALL 276 608 4487 REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

My main year round customer pays my trucks on delivery and outside trucks that I have to use within the week. Where you get in trouble is where there is several "middle men" in the process. When I'm the outside truck I usually try to weed out the companies and brokers that take too long to pay. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

The thing that I have been doing with my regular freight bills is that first of all you need to have a written confirmation on the load. Signed and faxed back to you with the info about the load and the rate & applicable fuel surcharge. This will be very hard to implement, since most of these guys in the livestock industry are not used to this.
In this confirmation you can give the responsible party for payment the option to pay upon arrival or to be billed by a third party at a 5% rate increase.
Once you have a load/rate confirmation you can then, with a signed bill of lading send your trip info on to a factoring company whom will generally charge 5% to buy your bills from you. once they buy this; you'll have money in the bank in 3-5 days. I hauled livestock full time for about 3 months and didn't appreciate the rates overall; especially on hauling fats! It seemed like it took some of them forever to pay. I make more money hauling equipment and always have a set of paperwork that I can factor
and the great thing about the factoring is that we get an updated NO HAUL- list every month. We never haul for people that don't pay. I still haul cattle for regular customers and really enjoy doing it. They all pay me immediately on delivery, and that makes it nice. They also don't complain about my rates. (66% of the going fuel price in LImon-CO + $1.60 DH)Hope it gave you some ideas......... Pete

I agree 100% we should all stick together and not let these brokers or so called shippers controll us like they do we are the ones doing all the work and then get crapped on they expect u to be there rite when they call u they expect ya to run ur guts out to get their cattle out there then when u get the job done u are no longer important to them i tell u mister when i go to the tire store to buy a set of tires or pull in to mr fuel to fill my truck i cant tell them i will pay u 30 to 45 days it just dont work like that (i wish it did work that way) then u got your cut throat truckers thats out running behind everyones back cutting haul rates when things slow down a little bit desperate just to get a load on their back and get to moving fuel doesnt get cheaper when it slows down that trip doesnt get any shorter when it slows down the weight doesnt get any lighter guys wake up that load of ol cheap kill cows its a full load too but yet u cut throats think if i haul this load of kill cows back i can cut my compeditors rate and get my truck rolling again but u aint thinking bout when u wear ur equipment out how u gonna replace it so all u cut throats u know who u are

WELL THEN WORK FOR SOMEONE THAT THINKS YOUR THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THERE COMPANY. OUT SIDE THE RANCHERS THAT HAVE THE CATTLE TO SHIP. WE CARE ABOUT OUR DRIVERS AND OWNER OPPS. WE TRY TO KEEP YOU LOADED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND WHEN YOU GET OUT THERE WITH OUR CATTLE. WE TRY TO HAVE YOU ANOTHER LOAD WAITTING. NOT JUST A THANK YOU AND NOW FIND YOUR OWN LOAD BACK. I LIKE THE IDEA OF COD LOADS. WE HAVE ALOT OF OUR RANCHERS THAT PAY LIKE THAT, AND EVEN BETTER THEY PAY AT THE LOADING END OF THE TRIP. HAVE A BLESSED DAY THANK YOU. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE
