His overhead is a lot lower than yours in terms of fuel mileage and equipment costs and therefore his per running mile is a whole lot less. If anyone is suited for this load....,it's this guy and his rate is probably right on. Besides, last I looked, this is still captialism in the good ole USA and he is entitled to his own bid without people calling him "cut throat"! You completely missed the whole point of the post there Special Ed. It wasn't about what he was pulling it with, I just used a 1 ton as an example. Whether it would pull it or not, I do not know nor do I care. My brother- in-law pulls a 30 ft stock trailer around with his dually and gets along just fine, but I digress. What the post was about was first whether the 20 head of cattle would fit in a 33 x 102 and second about people jumping on others for not complying with their views or running for their assumed rates. I have been in the business of transporting livestock for more than 16 yrs now and own and manage several trucks of my own. I am tired of people in this industry throwing others under the bus, we need to learn to work together. We have genuine problems with some, who will be left unmentioned, who do not care for those who are trying to make an honest living in this business and only care about cutting the rate to get the load to broker it out so that they can get their percentage. But as long as we haul for said brokers we only hurt ourselves. This man was NOT one of those people. If you wish to throw stones, throw them in the right direction. NOT at someone who is trying to do a legit business.

AND yes you can pull a 102" wide trailer behind a pickup! Just like Mr. Frahm said he had the perfect setup for this job!
