Looking at putting a driver on the road hauling cattle with one of my trucks on a percentage basis. Anyone willing to share what the going rate is? | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

25% after fuel some vary, 25% off the top, or 25% of 2.50 or 2.75 depending on what rate you getting, take a buck and a quarter to buck and a half off the full rate then 25% from that. most now are taking fuel first, then driver wages from the rest, this way your rearend is covered | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

If I have someone drive for me they get 25% of whatever the truck makes. So say I send a load to Nebraska from North Dakota and the truck makes $3000, the driver will fget a check for $750 for that load. If I am running hard and want someone to ride along to switch off and on for driving so we can run 24 hours they get 15% of the trucks gross and I even pay for the meals. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

Thanks for your reply Brian. Hopefully there will be more so I can see the range of options. Obviously everyone negotiates something a little different. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

i pay my driver 25% of the gross. like jared if the truck gets 4000 he gets 1000. i only have one pot so he pulls freight. if i bring him with me he gets 13%. he actually does better when we team than that $%*& freight. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |

I am a driver that takes care of billing, truck and trailer ordering and buying and all permits. I get 25% of total gross. I also find all my loads myself. Its basicaly my own company with someone else paying for everything. I can do anything i want to do with the truck. I also have a 2009 chevy 4 door pickup that he gives me and i can drive anywhere. so to answer question its the kind of job you do and how take care of business on how much you get paid. | REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE |
