How does a person go about contesting an OWI that is showing on an MVR as less then 10 years old when it is well over 10 years?
I have contacted the DMV they say that it is not their responsibility to ensure acuracy of the MVR it is the court system
the court system says that it is not their responsibility to ensure acuracy on an MVR that is the DMV
I have talked to an attorney they said to get a copy of the court documents and use that to contest the MVR but to do it through the legal system it can take upwards of 3 years just to get the state into court to have it taken off and then the judge may determin to throw it out because by then it will be off the MVR.

My boyfriend can't find a job driving now because it showes he has 2 less then 10 years old but I have seen the original court paperwork and both citations were back in the 90's (it took some searching by the courts to get the paperwork)

PLEASE HELP ME I am tired of supporting him so he can look for a job hauling livestock.
