If you ever drive through Utah or fear other states doing this please call Vic Saunders his number is posted leave a voicemail if necessary to oppose this Can you please share this information Just to inform you, right now there has been a test section of I 15 from mile marker 349 to 362 that has a restriction for vehicles towing trailers, or that weigh 12,000 lbs to stay out of the left 2 lanes which by law restricts you to driving in the right lane only if you are towing. I asked UHP what the fine is if you were cited for being in the restricted lanes, and was told it is $150. This bill was sponsored by Utah State Representative Val K. Potter from District 3 in Cache County , because he doesn't like being held up by trucks trying to pass each other as he drives back and forth to the state capitol. Carlos Braceras, Executive Director of UDOT, allowed this test section to be put in place. The problem here is that if we let them get a start on this, where will they stop? I ask you to take o minute and send an email or make a phone call and let UDOT know that this is not right.
