My understanding is that Hartford will pay for the whole load at invoiced value.  Many other insurers will only pay for dead animals at market value.  As long as other animals are still aliive they will not pay.

i have been hauling hogs to iowa  from nc for 3 yrs ...been a lil slow since xmas so decided to try this board....i need some helps with learning the ropes ....cargo insurance for starters.....some companies will only  except hartford  why is this ?....does hartford pay for dead animals?....northland only pays if u crash...my agent tells me ...my agent also tells me hartford isnt writing any trucking insurance in nc....any other quirky things that would help me?.....ive been hauling my hogs  and getting along ok till the swine word started ..now it seems like the pigs are poison..thanks for all the help i can get ...
