UNDER $3.00 A MILE???

I look at these load boards everyday and it is totally amazing that some of these people posting loads expect trucking companies to load livestock for under $3.00 a mile...  By the time you figure in your mileage to and from, fuel prices and your truckers pay..  I don't get how someone could possibly think one could make money hauling those loads unless you are just picking up a load on the way back home, so your not running empty...

I tell you what...  You load us for over $3.00 one way and find us that second load so we are not running back empty and we will haul that load for you too, but still not for under $3.00 a mile.  Everyone makes money if someone in the bunch isn't lining their own pocket with the money that could be paid to the trucking company hauling livestock.  I bet you wouldn't hear too many complaining about their trucks setting either, because they would have two loads back to back.

Come on brothers and sisters in trucking..  Put your foot done about the low pay..  If it is agreed across the board they will have no choice but to pay you what you are worth for reliable, trustworthy, dependable transportation of livestock!  Imagin if noone hauled cattle for two weeks because of the under $3.00 a mile.  What do you think would happen?  I think the market would drop tremendously and someone would start paying you all what you deserve to get those trucks rolling again!  Not everyone on here lists for under $3.00 a mile and thank you to them, but there are some on here that want to tighten the strap just alittle too tight.  I wouldn't even start a truck up for under $3.00 a mile!

I am a watcher of the daily markets and I have family who are big ranchers and a few friends whom are cattle haulers for a living and I must say the cattle market is not hurting by any means at this point in time.  Speak up and be heard!

I never thought I would pay to watch load boards out of pure curiosity, but it has been interesting.  I see a lot of good things going on in the livestock industry, but the under $3.00 a mile needs to quit so these people can feed their own families and pay their own bills..

I would guess if nobody hauled cattle for 2 weeks that the market would go up not drop. Boy I cant wait for the day we all get at least 3 dollars a mile both ways cuz a guy isnt going to have to work very many days out of a year to make a good living. I dont see it happening and if it did that is when schnieder would be in this game because anybody could get rich doing it.

Yep, I see em running empty down 83 to grab those cheap loads when there are plenty of good quality trucks down there getting their throats cut. Remember the Texas Railroad Commission?

What's the deal in the midwest, is there no work there? You would think there would be tons of work, more than texas! Why are trucks coming south hauling for nothing? Corn's not brain food I guess!

When it comes right down to it there are way more trucks than work.  It is a slow time of the year which make it worse.  I can tell you there has been quite a few truck that have start pull bullrack from other parts of the trucking industry because they have heard how much bull hauler were getting per mile , what they didn't know we are luck to be loaded 45% of the mile we travel overall.  So until some trucks go away we are going to continue to see the low rates.  We can be mad at the shippers, the dispatchers, some of you probly mad at me but as a industry we are our own worst enemy. No one looks out for ea other anymore, just cut throat as all hell and buyers/brokers lovin every minute off it ! People rag on the big companies but they playin the same games just owning small companys. No doubt they won't survive like that and in the mean time it sux for us that tryin to do more than keep the other guy from getn loads. REPLY REPLY WITH QUOTE

Hey yall i have mentioned this cheap price stuff before exspecially the freight haulers gettin bull racks and hauling for freight prices.but as long as the few big companys out here we wont metion but they know who they are keep hauling for cheap well have to keep fighting to survive.me and severiol other drivers got screwed here awhile back in virgina on 8 loads.the other trucking company sent all 8 of there trcks down to get the loads couse they cut the load rate under 2 dollars and left us alll setin looking for loads agian.this carp has to stop out here.I thought we were supposed to help eachother out here.Atleast thats th way i was taught when i grew up on my dads truck.but apperently that gone.well hope these crooked companys come to and end.
