If you have anything other than Hartford or Great West livestock broad form insurance you may not be as well covered as you think. Must of the other insurances have exclusions when it comes to livestock, they only cover animal that die in an accident not all the animals that are damaged. All the buyers, feedlots and packing plant reject the entire load and you are responsible for making up the difference that the insurance does NOT pay. Cheaper is not better when it come to livestock cargo insurance.
